Probate, Conservatorship, and Guardianships are all court proceedings. The purposes of probate are to finalize the decedent’s affairs, collect and safeguard the assets, pay debts, file tax returns, and ultimately distribute the assets after court approval. Conservatorship and guardianship estates are similar, except they are ongoing entities. A conservatorship serves the needs of an incapacitated or disabled adult while a guardianship serves the needs of a minor child. Our firm advises fiduciaries, beneficiaries, and other interested parties in all three proceedings. Our services include preparing and filing all the required court documents, including court accountings.
